  • 2/3 cup of orange marmalade

Spoon this mixture over the ribs and roast for another 30 minutes or until tender.

Just about everyone loves barbecued spare ribs for holidays, cookouts, and for no particular reason at all.
For this recipe, cut three to four pounds of ribs into two-rib portions and place meat side down in a roasting pan. Roast in a 450 degree oven for 20 minutes. Transfer meat to another plate or container and remove any excess fat from the roasting pan.

To make the sauce, combine the following:

  • 27 ounce can of sauerkraut that has been drained of water

  • One cup of ketchup
  • ½ cup of molasses

  • Two tablespoons of cider vinegar
  • Two tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Two teaspoons of chili powder
  • One diced onion
  • Dashes of salt and pepper.

Brush the ribs with the sauce mixture and broil six inches from the broiler for ten minutes. Then turn the ribs over, brush with more sauce, and broil for another ten minutes.
