One of the best ways to get rid of house spiders in your home is to stop them from coming in. By first understanding the reasons why spiders are around or in your home will only benefit and make it easier to get rid of the. There are a few reasons why they would in your home in the first place; knowledge of these reasons could help you to get rid of house spiders in your home.

If you have bushes, plants, or any type of shrubs around you home you will want to cut these back and keep them trim. If you have a wood pile you will also want to keep this away from your home. Spiders will hide in wood piles, sheds, dark places, bushes, and plants. They like to stay cool and to be near moisture. If it summer time you may find more in your home because they are trying to get rid of the heat. You can treat your cracks and crevices near your home with spider repellent, or for a more natural deterrent you can use caulking and caulk them.

You can treat your windows with a treatment made right in your kitchen of ammonia and water; this will keep them from getting in at the window seal.

If you have any cardboard boxes around you will want to get rid of these. For some reason spiders love cardboard. You can try switching to plastic tubs or something like that.

If you have a lot of insects you might want to treat for them because one reason you may have spiders is they like to eat insects. Web spinning spiders are harmless and they are actually best to keep because they help rid your home of other insects.

You could also try insect glue boards; these are known to work really well. You can place them behind your toilet, under your sinks, behind your refrigerator, behind the washer and dryer, and even if you have an attic. It is best to put them in the garage if you have one too.

If you have spiders and spider webs you might want to use one of those vacuums with a good attachment so that you are able to get rid of the webs as often as you can.

There are many natural ways that you can rid your home of spiders if you are not one that likes to use the chemicals they sell on today’s market.

One way is to have lady bugs, they are a small beetle but they eat close to 50 other insects a day. You can bring some into your home or around your home to help with spiders. Also, the Daddy Long Leg spider is not harmful to a human but is lethal to other spiders. If you don’t want other bugs around you can try Hedge Apples, these have been used for years but just most recently have become more widely known. You can find them in the produce section of your grocery store. If you can’t find them you can have them ordered for you. Spiders don’t like these at all even though it is not known why. . Eucalyptus leaves can be used indoors in closets and drawers, they even will help the area smell well and spiders do not like them.

You can even get a cat; it is one of the best ways to keep rodents and insects out of your home inside and out. If you don’t have a problem with having a pet this is one of the best ways to rid your house of these pesky spiders.

You can try that plug in device, but I have not heard of them actually working. It could be worth a try if you want to try everything before actually calling in an exterminator.

You will never get rid of spiders in your home completely, but hopefully this will give you some ideas of how to rid your home of most spiders and keep them to a minimum.

    This is régarding thè electric unit. No, it isn’t working. However, I haven’t given up yet. My husbant has. If it doesn’t work this spring/summer….I will give up.
