Fettuccine Alfredo is an Italian classic combining parmesan, cream, and garlic in its famous sauce. This creamy pasta dish is guaranteed to become a comfort food favourite!

1/2 lbs dry fettuccine pasta
4 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
2/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cream

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and add in the fettuccine.

In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic. Add the cream, and stir often over low heat while the pasta cooks.

Once the pasta reaches al dente, strain it while saving some of the pasta water, and add it back to the empty pot.

Add the cream mixture to the pasta along with the cheese, and toss it with the noodles until everything is mixed and coated. If needed, add a few tablespoons of the pasta water.

Serve immediately with a small amount of black pepper or nutmeg ground over the pasta.
