Kebabs are simple to prepare and a hit with everyone, from children to adults. I prefer to grill the meat on separate skewers than the vegetables, to ensure everything is cooked properly. This recipe uses a basic rub, and goes great with a multitude of side dishes.

Beef Kebab Ingredients

2 lbs top sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes

2 tbsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 tbsp paprika
2 tsp cayenne
2 tsp garlic powder
4 tsp onion powder

5-6 skewers, either metal or wood

Preparation and Grilling

If you’re using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before you grill. You don’t want them to burn on the grill!

Combine all ingredients in a large plastic bag. Add the cubed steak and shake until evenly coated. Make sure there are no flavor clumps. Carefully weave the seasoned cubes of steak on the skewers, about 6 pieces per skewer.

Prepare your grill for high direct heat.

Carefully place the kebabs on the barbecue, grilling for 8 – 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
