Turkey Roasting Bags
« on: November 15, 2012, 01:02:09 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to put a plug in for turkey roasting bags.  I used to make a foil tent over my turkey every Thanksgiving when I roasted it.  Even when I basted it, I still couldn't get it as moist as I wanted.  My sister-in-law told me to use the plastic, turkey roasting bags.  I tried it last year and made the moistest turkey ever.  It's great because it holds all of the juices in as well.

Thanks for the timely tip, Linda!  I used to use the roasting bags all the time when I did the cooking.  But now that my husband does the cooking on Thanksgiving, I just let him do it however he wants to get it done.  We both usually forget we even have a roasting bag for the turkey and so end up using the foil tent.
