« on: February 07, 2013, 11:05:47 AM »
Looking for a quick breakfast or snack? This banana bread packs a nutrition boost from bananas, whole wheat flour, and flax seeds.

Ingredients

2 tbsp oil

2 tbsp milk

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

3-4 ripe bananas, mashed

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

? cup flax seeds

3 tsp baking powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F.

In a large bowl, combine the oil, milk, brown sugar, egg, and banana. Mix until well combined. Stir in the whole wheat flour, flax seeds, and baking powder until just combined.

Pour mixture into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan, and bake for 40-45mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
